Hi Gummies,
Friends / Dating category is to be closed by the end of this year.
Gumtree has been holding user surveys throughout 2009, and we have received lots of feedback about the Friends / Dating category. In response to this feedback, Gumtree has made the tough decision to close the Friends / Dating Category at the end of this year. This will mean that this category will soon be closed.
Closing the Friends / Dating category wasn’t an easy decision to make, but we feel (like many of you) that this is best for the whole Gumtree community. We hope you’ve enjoyed using the Friends & Dating categories, and trust you’ll discover other useful areas in Gumtree next year.
